My name is Bob, and I'm the owner and founder of 1 Shot Productions, Inc.

1 Shot was founded in the Fall of 2001 to be a company that covered the sport of paintball. We were one of the first to distribute DVDs of national tournaments and, in many opinions, one of the best. My wife, Daisy, and son, Nick, helped me out and made the whole thing possible.

After we stopped covering paintball I was swept into working pretty much full time in the television industry. I travel all over the country doing mainly sporting events for many of the major networks and a lot of the minor ones. I pretty much sell myself out for any television work since that's what pays for my true loves:

  • Motorcycles
  • Photography
  • Guns
  • Computers
  • Etc.

I actually caught the photography bug in the 70's just about the time I met Daisy. I went to the local Vo-Tech to learn the ins and outs of taking, developing, and printing my own pictures. I shot a lot of photos until I entered the televison field in 1985 and fell headlong into video. I've pursued that field of interest until Daisy and I went on a cruise in February of 2007 and needed a good camera to take with us. Buying the Nikon D40 was an expensive mistake.

I have now returned to my first love of photography, and it's a blast to do with this camera. I still remember and use all the finer points of photography that I learned over 30 years ago, but now with this great little camera I can just shoot and have fun. No more hassling with exposures and all sorts of technical crap that made photography into a business. Shooting is much more fun not having to worry about that technical stuff.

I still use all the stuff I learned back in 1976, but now most of it is handled by the camera. And if the camera doesn't handle it the way I want, I can override the camera to get the look I want. It's the best of both worlds.

Now that I'm back into it, I'm going to use my travels to take pictures of places and things that most people either never get to see, or they just don't see them when they're there. And maybe sometimes I'll see it in a way that most people don't.

So Look around. Enjoy the site. And if you have a comment, feel free to click on the 1Shot logo at the bottom of the screen and send those thoughts my way.

Until then, happy browsing.
